Definitions For the purposes of this Privacy Policy: "Account" means a unique account created for You to access our Service. "We", "Us", or "Our" in this Agreement refers to Arjun Sudharsan (operating as 'Axilwood'). "Device" means any device that can access the Service such as a mobile phone or a digital tablet. "Personal Data" is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. "Service" refers to the Axilwood mobile application. "User", "You" means the individual accessing or using the Service, including Sellers, Buyers, and Guests.
Types of Data Collected (a) Personal Data While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. This may include, but is not limited to: Contact Information: Phone Number, and optionally, Email address. Identity Information: Full Name. User-Generated Content: Information and content you post in your ads, including descriptions, tree details, and any notes. Photographs: Images you upload for your ads, which may contain metadata. Transaction Data: We collect information about transactions you make on the Service, such as subscription purchases or ad boosts. Payment information is processed by our third-party payment gateway, Razorpay, and we do not store your full card or bank account details. We receive a transaction ID and confirmation of payment status. (b) Location Data We collect precise location data (Latitude and Longitude) from Your Device when you grant us permission. Purpose: This data is used to display ads relevant to a user's geographical area, filter search results, and show the location of timber listings to eligible Buyers. Control: You can enable or disable location services at any time through Your Device settings. However, disabling location services may limit the functionality of certain features. (c) Usage Data Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. This may include information such as Your Device's IP address, device type, operating system, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data. Use of Your Personal Data We may use Personal Data for the following purposes: To provide and maintain our Service: including to monitor the usage of our Service. To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. To facilitate communication: to enable user-to-user chat between Buyers and Sellers. To process transactions: to manage Your subscriptions and payments for ad promotions. To contact You: To contact You by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication regarding updates or informative communications related to the functionalities, products, or contracted services. For content moderation: to review ads and user content to ensure compliance with our policies. Storage and Retention of Your Personal Data We will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and to comply with our legal obligations. Your data is stored securely on cloud servers provided by Supabase and Firebase.
Your information may be shared in the following situations: With other users: When you post an ad, information such as your name, tree details, approximate location (City/District), and photos will be visible to other users. Your contact details (via the chat function) will only be made available to subscribed Buyers who wish to contact you about your ad. With Service Providers: We may share Your information with third-party service providers like Razorpay (for payments) and Firebase (for authentication and notifications) to facilitate our Service. For Legal Requirements: We may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend Our rights or property, or protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
As a user in India, you have certain rights with respect to your data: Right to Access and Correction: You can access and update most of your information through your Profile page in the app. Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format. You can do so via the "Request My Data" option in the app's settings. Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent to this policy at any time through the app's settings. Withdrawing consent will result in the termination of your account and access to the Service. Right to Erasure (Account Deletion): You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data. This can be done via the "Delete Account" button in the "Edit Profile" section of the app. This action is irreversible.

When You create an account with Us, You must provide Us with information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of Your account on Our Service. You are responsible for safeguarding the OTP-based access to your account and for any activities or actions under Your account.
Axilwood provides a marketplace platform for landowners ("Sellers") to list timber for sale and for timber merchants ("Buyers") to find and connect with Sellers. We are a classifieds platform and do not participate in the transaction, felling, transportation, or sale of the timber itself. We are not a party to any agreement entered into between Buyers and Sellers.
(a) Posting Ads (Sellers): As a Seller, you agree that you are the legal owner of the land and the trees you are listing, or you have explicit legal authority to sell them. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information in your ads, including tree type, dimensions, location, and photos. You agree not to list any timber species that are protected, banned, or illegal to trade under Indian law (e.g., Sandalwood, Red Sanders). We reserve the right to remove any ad and terminate the account of any user found listing prohibited items. (b) User-Generated Content: You are solely responsible for the content you post, including text and images ("User Content"). You grant Us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute Your User Content in connection with the Service. We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor and edit all User Content. We may remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be unlawful, offensive, or in violation of these Terms.
Buyer Membership ("Axilwood Pro"): Buyers may purchase a recurring monthly subscription to access premium features, such as the ability to initiate chats with Sellers and view precise ad locations. Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis through our third-party payment processor, Razorpay. They will automatically renew each month unless canceled by you. Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts. You are prohibited from using the site or its content: To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, or discriminate. To submit false or misleading information. To upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code. To circumvent the security features of the Service.
We may terminate or suspend Your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if You breach the Terms. Upon termination, Your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
In no event shall Arjun Sudharsan (operating as 'Axilwood'), nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Your use of the Service is at Your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the results of using the Service will meet your requirements. We are not responsible for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from transactions or interactions between Buyers and Sellers.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ernakulam, Kerala, India.
We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
